Fallow Deer

All the photos here were taken at Weald Country Park, near Brentwood in Essex.

I first photographed the deer in Autumn 2002, at the time seeing the potential for pictures of them in the snow.  When the snow came in January 2003, I was at the park like a shot.

The deer are kept in a fenced enclosure, but you can get right up to the fence and photograph through it without it affecting your pictures.

Deer food is available in the shop at the park and this helps in getting the deer up close.
