Essex

A large proportion of my time is spent photographing the Essex countryside, mainly in Nature Reserves and Country Parks, but also simply views and scenes I come across in my travels.

A subject close to my heart, I've been visiting Norsey Wood in Billericay and Thorndon Park in Brentwood for as long as I can remember and always find the atmosphere of mature woodland very calming.

For a County criss-crossed with roads, a dense woodland can offer a quiet retreat, muffling the noise of traffic and assaulting the senses with altogether more pleasant sights, sounds and smells.
