January 2021
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has created uncertainty and upheaval for us all in our daily lives, and in many cases forced us to change the way we can do business.
Currently we're in Tier 4, with infection rates rapidly increasing, and as I can hardly claim to be an essential service, I have taken the decision to postpone all face-to-face tuition for the time being. I will review this in the light of further information in due course, but the safety of my clients and family is the most important thing.
I am taking bookings for private tuition sessions from February onwards, and am planning workshops for 2021. These will be small workshops with a maximum of five attendees for the time being, booked direct with me. To have the best chance of booking on to these, do make sure you're signed up to my newsletter.
I am sending out Gift Vouchers as normal, these having a 2 year validity, and extensions if required due to any lockdowns. Click to purchase Gift Vouchers.
My decisions regarding tuition are being constantly reviewed in light of further advice as time goes on. I will update here, on the relevant workshop pages on my website, by newsletter, and via social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), as and when required.
I continue to provide private tuition via Zoom and Skype, and my regular live online Q&A's. Make sure you're signed up to my newsletter to receive details of these.
If you wish to meet for a practical private photography session when available, please get in touch.
If you have a Gift Voucher for private tuition, the expiry date will be extended by 1 year to account for the COVID restrictions.
Essex Wildlife Trust have now opened most of their visitor centres again, but with a limited service, and my workshops with them are still disrupted. You can read their statement on the EWT website. Many apologies for the disruption.
Although the RHS have reopened Hyde Hall, I do not currently have any workshops booked with them this year. You can read their current Covid statement on the RHS website. Again, many apologies for the disruption.
I have run some London workshops, Close-up and Macro workshops, and some Sea and Shore workshops during the Autumn, albeit with restricted numbers due to social distancing. These have been successful and enjoyable, so they, and others, will be booked in for 2021.
It's been very rewarding to still be able to present talks to camera clubs via Zoom throughout the pandemic, and I have lots more booked in for the coming months. Do get in touch if your clubs would like one too.
I thank you for your patience and understanding during these extraordinary times.
